IN CHARACTER

VISUAL: PB reference. Often looks a bit sick, clothing is generally worn, holds himself as if he's trying to avoid attention. He has numerous scars, ranging from almost so faded they're invisible to still healing, but hides the majority of them under his clothing as much as possible.

PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Have at. Friends will get plenty of physical contact in return; he's touchy with people he likes and feel are likely to like him enough not to mind. Strangers will probably get frozen at until he can politely remove himself.

FLIRTING: Feel free. However, he will likely be oblivious at best and awkward if he notices, no matter who it is.

PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Remus will go for his wand before he goes for anything else unless it's immediately after a full moon, in which case the wolfish instincts might drive him to physical violence. He has training with defensive and offensive magic, and is a fairly skilled duelist. His experience with hand-to-hand is basically nonexistent, but he's strong even as a human; it's not quite enough to register as supernatural strength, but more than would be expected. He won't injure unless you're on the opposite side of the war or go for him first, and won't kill unless necessary.

PSYCHIC & PSIONIC INFORMATION: The werewolf thing may interact oddly with some supernatural effects, so feel free to ask if you have questions related to that. He's had some training with Occlumency and therefore may be able to notice if somebody's in his mind, but the training is not extensive, and as that seems to be more about hiding what you don't want found than putting up blocks, he's unlikely to be able to keep them entirely out. He worries a lot, and tries to tamp down and ignore any instincts that he feels come from the wolf, whether they really are or not.

MEDICAL INFORMATION: If it hasn't been made clear yet, Remus is a werewolf! And doesn't take the best care of himself. There is a brief period between the Marauders becoming animagi and things getting bad in the War where he's relatively healthy, and even then he runs on the thin side, still regularly collects new scars, and is at least a little bit sore through about half the moon cycle. Before then, and after then, he's a lot sore most of the time, collects a lot of new, fairly vicious scars every full moon, and looks constantly sick and run down. While he's never so healthy he can't get by, he's never really in a situation where he's entirely well, either.

OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Remus doesn't do well with anything about werewolves, especially when people start talking about how dangerous they are, or things that makes him worry his secret's going to come out: pointing out his scars, noticing his weird monthly absences, etc. After Halloween 1981, he's also going to have a bad emotional reaction to people talking too much about James, Lily, Sirius, and Peter. Before his friends die, he'll try to be quiet and not show he's bothered, and just about anything else he can basically brush off; after, he's more volatile, but will at least try to hide his reaction out of habit.

RELATIONSHIPS

PLATONIC: He has a hard time making friends, or more specifically, believing people are actually going to stay friends with him if they learn his secret, and tends to shut down to politeness rather than risk opening that wound. But if people stick around, he warms up and becomes attached quickly.

NEGATIVE: Remus tends to be polite even with people he doesn't like through most of his life, but there's a period of intense anger after Halloween 1981 where he's more apt to lash out if pushed that I'm always interested in playing with.

CROSS-CANON TYPES: Other werewolves, especially those either equally paranoid and unhappy about their status, or the polar opposite. Supernatural beings or non-human species with similar standings in their home world to Remus' standing as a werewolf in his. People who also have secrets and issues opening up to others for their own reasons. Alternately, people who attach hard and easily and won't let him close himself off despite his instinct to.

Canon-divergence AU: Things go differently on Halloween in various ways; Remus never gets to Hogwarts, especially ones where he ends up being convinced to side with Voldemort over it; Remus gets kicked out after the Willow incident.
